About the Artist
Will Schippert is a landscape oil painter based in Grosse Pointe Park, working in a distinct Post-Impressionist style. He first learned to paint by recreating his favorite works by Van Gogh, and today, his style is well-known throughout the Grosse Pointes for its thick paint application, intentional brushstrokes, bold color choices, and locally inspired subject matter.
Will paints what he wants to see—using color and brushwork to transform reality, taking creative liberties to portray the best version of his subjects. He’s inspired by beautiful ideas and aims to evoke emotion through each piece.
